IceGators Blank Kingfish, 1-0

Kyle Kettles made 25 saves and Bobby Brown scored the games’ only goal as the Louisiana IceGators shutout the Kingfish 1-0.

Bobby Brown tallied the only goal of the game just 47 seconds into the second period as his slap shot from the point on the power play eluded Nikas Sundberg. Shawn McNeil and Nathan Rempel added the assists on the goal.

The Kingfish looked to tie the game up late in the third with Sundberg pulled from his net in favor of an extra attacker but couldn’t solve IceGator’s netminder Kyle Kettles.

Sundberg made 29 saves for the Kingfish in the losing effort and falls to 10-10-2 on the season with the Kingfish.

The Kingfish are back in action on Saturday when they visit Jackson to take on the Bandits. Catch all action on Baton Rouge’s Best R & B, 104.5 WZRB beginning with the Kingfish pregame show at 6:50 p.m.
