Kingfish Clipped by Everblades, 4-3

The Florida Everblades used two third period goals to squeak past the Kingfish
at the Centroplex.
Laurent Meunier broke open a scoreless game 3:39 into the second period to give
the Everblades an early 1-0 lead. Kevin Brown and Ryan Murphy added the assists
on the goal.
In his second game with the Kingfish, Alexandre Burrows tied the game up at one
on a penalty shot. Burrows was dumped from behind on a breakaway and awarded the
penalty shot at the 5:53 mark of the second.
The Everblades regained the one goal advantage 37 seconds later off the stick of
Ryan Murphy. Sean Curry and Kevin Brown hooked up with Murphy on the goal.
Scott Hewson tied the game up at two as he flipped the puck off the back of
Florida goaltender Randy Petruk and into the net. Joe Guenther and Dwayne Blais
added the assists on the goal at the 9:55 mark of the second.
Mike Renzi scooped up a loose puck in the crease and fired it past Petruk with
8:15 remaining in the second period to give the Kingfish its only lead of the
night. Chris Bell and Mike Kiesman added the assists on the goal.
Florida tied the contest up at two off the stick of Meunier with just 4:40
remaining in the third. Ryan Murphy and Kevin Brown added the assists on the
goal.
Kevin Brown scored the game winner on the power play just 1:30 left in the third
period on a laser from the left point. Murphy and Meunier added the assists on
the goal.
The Kingfish and the Everblades are back at it again tomorrow at the Centroplex

Kevin Brown scored with 1:30 remaining to lift the Florida Everblades to a 4-3
victory over the Baton Rouge Kingfish. The Everblades improve to 32-17-10 on the
season while Kingfish slip to 17-35-9. The Everblades finish their three game
road trip tomorrow in Baton Rouge at 5:05PM.
After a scoreless first period Laurent Meunier lifted a backhand over Kingfish
goaltender Niklas Sundberg to give the Everblades a 1-0 lead. Kevin Brown and
Ryan Murphy assisted. Alexandre Burrows tied the game scoring on a penalty shot.
Murphy put the Everblades back in front on a one-timer from the slot on a
perfect pass from Kevin Brown. Scott Hewson tied the game with a goal from
behind the Everblades net. Mike Renzi gave the Kingfish the lead scoring on a
scramble in front of the Everblades net.
Laurent Meunier tied the game blasting a shot just under the cross bar. Brown
and Murphy assisted. Kevin Brown game-winner came on power play with Murphy and
Meunier assisting.
