NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (Ticker) -- Shawn Mamane recorded
a goal and two assists and Mike Sandbeck and Jason Sands each
had a goal and an assist to lead the Arkansas RiverBlades past
the Baton Rouge Kingfish, 4-1. Mamane helped Sands open the
scoring 1:40 into the contest, broke a 1-1 tie at the 4:32
mark of the middle stanza and assisted on an insurance goal by
Sandbeck 4:02 later. Jason Saal made 26 saves in the win and
improved his record to 23-14-10 for Arkansas, which has won
four of its last five games. Jeff Trembecky scored the lone
goal for Baton Rouge, which lost for just the second time in
its last nine games (5-2-2). Christian Bronsard surrendered
three goals on 13 shots and was pulled midway through the
second, falling to 5-7-3 on the season.
