BILOXI, Mississippi (Ticker) -- Bryan Richardson scored in
overtime, Rick Gorman had a goal and two assists and Christian
Bronsard turned aside 42 shots to help the Baton Rouge Kingfish
edge the Mississippi Sea Wolves, 5-4. Richardson scored his 20th
goal 2:35 into overtime to seal the win for his club. Gorman,
who assisted on the game-winner, opened the scoring with five
minutes remaining in the first period and set up Trevor Wasyluk
for the game-tying goal with just 11 seconds left in regulation.
Bronsard stopped 28 of 29 shots over the first two periods and
one more in overtime for the win to snap a personal three-game
losing skid. Francois Fortier had a goal and two assists and
Travis Lisabeth gave Mississippi a 4-3 lead with 74 seconds left
in regulation, but the Sea Wolves lost for the third time in
their last four games. Luc Belanger made one save in the extra
frame and 30 overall in the loss.
