KINGFISH HIT STRIDE AT THE RIGHT TIME
The
Kingfish have gone 8-1-1 to move into a ninth place tie in the Southern
Conference. The only blemishes were a loss to a Northern Conference juggernaut
from Dayton and a tie in Birmingham. The Fish have moved eight games above .500
for the first time this season and only the third time in team history (twice
in ‘97-’98). Fleet skating forward Forrest Gore has posted 15 points in the
past ten games. Goaltender Paxton Schafer is playing to his all-star billing
going 6-0-1. The Magic Number for the Kingfish is three. Any combination of
Kingfish wins or Augusta losses totaling three clinches a playoff spot.
