KINGFISH NEED SHAKE UP TO MOVE UP
The
Kingfish lost valuable ground going 0-1-2 this week. The Fish are sitting in
13th spot in the Southern Conference five points out of a playoff spot. The
team met the trade deadline last Wednesday sending defenseman Jason McKee to
Birmingham for center Mike Barrie. The talented Barrie should bring some much
needed scoring punch to the fold. Along with fiesty forward Forrest Gore the
team should get the spark to reclaim a post season seeding. This happens to be
the time of year college and junior players become available to ECHL teams.
Look for Coach Lohrei to bolster the ranks in the coming weeks. Remember
tonight (March 5) is the Mardi Gras Jersey Auction at Avoyelles on 3rd St. at 6:00
p.m.
