KINGFISH ACQUIRE FORWARD
    The Baton Rouge Kingfish of the East Coast Hockey League have obtained the rights to forward Forrest Gore from the Richmond Renegade in exchange for future considerations.

Gore, 26, played in 38 games with the Renegades this season scoring 12 goals, 10 assists, 22 points and 70 penalty minutes. In the 1998-99 season with Richmond the native of Palmer, Alaska scored 24 goals, 24 assists and accumulated 173 penalty minutes. Gore split last season between Missouri River in the United Hockey League and Kansas City of the International
Hockey League.

“This is the second time I’ve traded for Forrest Gore,” said Kingfish Head Coach David Lohrei. “The first time was in Juniors nine or ten years ago and he was a key in our team making it to the National Championship Game.” Lohrei added, “Forrest is a go-to-the-net type player with a lot of speed.”

The 6’, 195 lb., left shot winger is expected to be in the line-up on Saturday night when the Kingfish take on the Arkansas RiverBlades at 7:05 p.m at the Riverside Centroplex.
