| KINGFISH BOLSTER DEFENSE | ||||||||
The Baton Rouge Kingfish of the East Coast Hockey League have acquired defenseman Jason McKee from the Richmond Renegades for future considerations. McKee, 21, played in 17 games with Renegades scoring once and assisting on two others while accumulating 19 penalty minutes. The first year professional played last season in Seattle of the Western Hockey League (Junior) where as a converted centerman he amassed 23 goals and 39 assists in 69 games. The Lloydminster, Alberta native also played two seasons of NCAA hockey with Michigan Tech. The 5’11”, 175 lb., rearguard is in Baton Rouge practicing with the team and Kingfish Head Coach David Lohrei expects to insert him in the line-up this weekend. The Kingfish host the Pensacola IcePilots Friday, January 5, at 7:05 p.m. at the Riverside Centroplex.
